How this site handles your data.
This is a personal CV site with no permanent user accounts, newsletter or shopping cart. Email verification protects access to Samer's contact details. Personal information is not sold.

Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand visits, CV download clicks, use of the career assistant, and completed contact requests. Custom interaction events contain fixed labels and language, never chat messages, names, email addresses, phone numbers or contact-request details. Google's standard measurement can include page views, approximate location, device, browser and referring site.
For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics storage defaults to denied through Google Consent Mode v2; cookieless measurement signals may still be sent. Advertising storage, advertising user-data use and advertising personalisation are denied worldwide. This site runs no advertising.
The site does not load Google Analytics when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Content blockers may also prevent analytics. Local development and preview sites do not send analytics events to Google.
The AI career assistant
The chat assistant answers questions about Samer's professional background, offers PDF CVs, and can help you request contact. Please read this before using it:
- Messages you send are processed by this site's backend on Netlify and by OpenAI to generate replies. Please see OpenAI's privacy policy for its handling of personal data.
- Conversation context is kept in a private, temporary session that expires after 30 minutes without activity or two hours from its start, whichever comes first. It is not used as a permanent conversation archive. Hosting and service providers may retain operational or security logs under their own policies.
- CVs contain Samer's phone number, so CV downloads, requests for his phone number, and contact or meeting requests through this site require your name, consent and verified email. Your email is checked with ZeroBounce, and a six-digit code is sent through Microsoft's email service to confirm inbox access. The code expires after 10 minutes.
- After your consent and successful code verification, your name, email and confirmed request details are saved in Airtable and shared with Samer for professional follow-up. You receive a confirmation email. This does not book a meeting or subscribe you to marketing. Please see Airtable's privacy policy.
- Approved PDF access is temporary and tied to your browser. Requested CV emails, acknowledgements and Samer's notifications use Microsoft's email service. Temporary delivery records expire after 48 hours and are removed by automatic cleanup; they prevent duplicate messages and support retries after known failures.
- The assistant is not a person and its answers can be wrong. Nothing it says is a contractual commitment, a job offer, or professional advice.
- Please do not enter confidential information, personal data about other people, credentials, or anything you would not put in a first email to a stranger. For anything sensitive, email directly instead.
What is stored in your browser
No advertising or tracking cookies are set by this site itself. Two small entries are written to your browser's local storage, purely for your own experience:
- a short-lived cache of the latest articles, so the page loads faster on return visits;
- your choice if you pause the site's automatic motion, so it is remembered.
Google Analytics may set its own cookies outside the regions listed above. The chat uses a necessary, signed browser cookie that expires after 24 hours and is inaccessible to page scripts. Each page's conversation has the shorter limits described above. The visual chat component stores an identifier locally, and random event identifiers may be kept for the current tab to prevent duplicate lead counts. These identifiers do not contain contact details and are not sent to Analytics.
Embedded and linked third parties
The site embeds a YouTube playlist using youtube-nocookie.com, which avoids YouTube's tracking cookies unless you press play. Article previews are fetched from thaka2.ai. Links to LinkedIn, YouTube, Hugging Face and elsewhere take you to services with their own privacy policies, which govern once you leave this site.
Contacting Samer
If you email, message on LinkedIn, or confirm a contact request through the assistant, the correspondence and contact details are kept for as long as needed to reply and maintain a normal professional record. They are not added to a marketing list. You can request correction or deletion using the address below.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the UAE's Personal Data Protection Law and the EU/UK GDPR — you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held about you, and object to processing. Email samer@thaka2.ai and it will be handled promptly and without charge.
Hosting
The site and chat backend are hosted on Netlify, which processes standard server request logs including IP addresses for security and delivery. OpenAI, Airtable, Microsoft and Netlify may process data outside your country according to their service arrangements and policies.

If this page changes materially, the date below changes with it.
